Obituary of Bruce R. Hyney
DOLGEVILLE Bruce R. Hyney, 74 of 12 Poplar Street, Dolgeville passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 at the home of his sister Beverly Ambridge in the Town of Stark.
He was born on November 7, 1937 in Little Falls the son of the late Spencer and Anastasia (Collins) Hyney. He was educated at Van Hornesville Central School.
Mr. Hyney enlisted in the US Air Force in the late 1950s. After serving four years in the Strategic Air Command, at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, NY, he received an honorable discharge in the early 1960s.
He was employed for 30 years as a machinist for the former Chicago Pneumatic Corp., Utica retiring in 1997.
He is survived by two sons Marc Hyney, Taunton, MA and David Hyney (Deanna), Little Falls, two daughters Lori Guarnera (Thomas), New York City and Kimberly Hyney, Naugatuck, CT, four brothers Robert Hyney, Ft. Plain, Gerald Hyney (Florence), Ft. Plain, MacNair Hyney (Martha), Ft. Plain and Gary Hyney (Sue), Canajoharie, four sisters Joan James (George), Bellville, FL, Beverly Ambridge (John), Ft. Plain, Arlene James (Gary), Starkville and Elaine Fraiser, Richfield Springs, a sister in law Laura Hyney, Starkville, 6 grandchildren Vincent Hyney, Bryan, TX, Alyssa, Gabrielle, Alexandria and Rebecca Hyney, Little Falls and Jocelyn Hyney, Taunton, MA. He was predeceased by a brother Spencer Hyney, Jr.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 2:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Jon A. Noble, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Little Falls officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 12-2 pm and to attend the services to follow.
