I was very sorry to find out just now of Bill's untimely passing. I was Bill's college room and housemate for 3 years and best man at his wedding to Ann. We later lost contact over the years but I was very happy to become reacquainted with him 3 years ago and we met several times since then and rekindled our friendship. He was a good and long-time friend and I will really miss him. My condolences to your family and please let me know if I can help in any way in this difficult time.

We were not close friends of the family but Bill's zest for life and work has left an indelible mark on our families life and on our hearts. My husband has worked for Burrows for 14 years. During that time Bill made contact many times regarding my husbands accomplishments for the company and encouraged his determination to attain certain corporate goals. How exciting to work for someone whose encouragement filters through to your family and allows a worker to be seen by their children as a leader. That is a blessing! We would like Jane and the family to know that we will miss Bill and will continue his dream through the work at Burrows.

To the family of Bill Burrows: Although I never had the opportunity to work directly for Bill at Burrows Paper, I was able to help out as needed while he lived next to our family on Gansevoort Street. He was always cordial, professional, and understanding with any task that needed to be addressed. My father Ruport always spoke highly of all of the Burrows while working under Ralph for many years, and then Bill. The Burrows family has allowed many in Little Falls and others within the various Burrows facilities around the globe, the opportunity for individuals to apply their skills and talents, and this still continues 95 years later, which is quite amazing. My mother Marian, who remembers Bill as a child, sends your family her thoughts and prayers during this time of your loss. Sincerely, Robert W. Palmer

Dear family of Bill Burrows, Upon Bill's return to LF in the 1970's, we were next door neighbors on W Gansevoort St. At that time we became good friends and golf and tennis partners at the MVCC. Billy was always a little better than I and we always enjoyed our matches. My association with Bill grew over the years as he asked me to be legal counsel for him and HCT and some matters at BPC. Billy's smile will always be with me and his memory will likewise remain. My prayers are with him and you. Sincerely, Ed Rose

To Judy, Wil, Lydia, Ava, and Audrey: your brother/father had a special twinkle in his eyes that light up every place that he went. I always enjoyed it whenever I saw him in Little Falls. Just two years ago we all happened to be at Canal Side at the same time (when wasn't he there?!) and my daughters got to meet Ava and Audrey. There was the tentative playdate that hasn't happened yet; maybe it still will. What an energetic and inspiring man: I'm sure he will continue to inspire, as all the Burrows do. Peace and prayers to you all.

Dear Peggy, Judy and families,
I was saddened to read of Billy's passing. I don't believe I've seen him since high school, but one could sense that he was going to be what he became, a leader and a role model for all. Please accept my condolences. Love, David

Cousin Judy, Peggy and family. Sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I am one of the few cousins that he kept in touch with over the years. It seems like yesterday that I had dinner with him, wife and girls at his home in Skaneateles, NY. While passing through Little Falls on rare occasions, I would stop and chat with him at the office and recall family outings from the past. Like Bill I worked summers at the Mill with my Grandfather George. and enjoyed visiting the Burrows clan. Again my condolences, If there is anything I can do to help. do not hesitate to contact me.

Before he transferred to The Berkshire School, Bill was with us at Little Falls High School for grades seven and eight. As his classmates, we knew him as someone of intelligence and integrity. His passing is a great loss to Little Falls. My condolences to his family.

I knew Bill since we were in grade school. The house next to the funeral home used to belong to my Uncle. Bill and I would play at the tennis courts when his family lived on Gansevoort St.. Ofer the years, we went our separate ways but when we did meet, we had some memories. He was also a fellow Navy officer, although we never served together. I always had the utmost respect for Bill and he was always a gentleman. I also worked for his father for a time prior to his arrival. My sincere condolences to all his family and, as we say in the Navy; FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS".
