Obituary of Adolph C. Loucks
LITTLE FALLS Adolph C. Loucks 92 formerly of Diamond Street and more recent of 550 E. John St., Little Falls passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion where he had been a resident since November 29, 2008.
He was born on December 25, 1915 in Little Falls the son of the late John ad Katherine (Follmer) Loucks. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School class of 1935.
Mr. Loucks was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Army. He entered the service on April 22, 1942 and served with the First Ordnance Co. in the Rhineland and Central Europe. He was honorably discharged on September 29, 1945 as a Technician Fifth Grade at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri.
He was married at onetime to the former Anne Bilek, who predeceased him on August 13, 2000.
He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls as well as a member of the American Legion Post # 31, German Maennechor and the Polish Community Home all of Little Falls. He was also an avid golfer who enjoyed many rounds with his golfing buddies at the Little Falls Municipal Golf Course.
Mr. Loucks was employed for 36 years as a warehouseman for the Salada Foods Corp., Little Falls.
He is survived by his son Eric J. Loucks, Little Falls and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Craig C. Loucks on September 21, 2007 and by 4 brothers George Loucks, 1973, John Loucks, 1986, Frederick Loucks, 1987 and Edward Loucks, 1991, 4 sisters Caroline Mueller, 1971, Irene Buettel, 1993, Louise Kaye, 1996 and Freda Maksymicz, 2000.
Graveside services will be held at Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls at a time and date to be announced in the spring of 2009.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours.
