Obituary of Auline D. Martin

LITTLE FALLS Auline D. Martin, 89 formerly of 413 S. Ann Street, Little Falls and recently of the Alpine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Little Falls passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at that residence. Auline was born on April 20, 1921 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Wells S. and Ruth H. (Johnson) Davy. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School class of 1939. Auline was first united in marriage to Floyd Daigneau of Syracuse in 1939. She was married to her second husband, Mike Martin on August 17, 1952 in Connecticut. Mr. Martin predeceased her on October 21, 1987. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Little Falls where she served as an Elder and Deacon for many years. She served at onetime as member of the Board of Trustees of Little Falls Hospital and the Little Falls WCA. She was a member of the Portico and Fortnightly Clubs, Little Falls the former Little Falls Lady Elks and was very active in many Little theater groups in the area when she was younger. She is survived by her son Stuart Daigneau, Albuquerque, NM, her daughter and son in law, Suzanne and Neal Hunt, Norfolk, MA, her brother and sister in law, J. Keith and Marion Davy, Little Falls, 3 grandchildren Courtney Hunt, New York City, Christopher Daigneau, and Charles Wallace both of Albuquerque, NM, her nieces and nephews Bryan Davy, Bradley Davy and his wife Jennifer, Brigette Davy and Brenda Minso all of Maryland and Phyllis Leigh, Lake Worth, FL, her sister in law Lynn Strunk, Kinderhook, NY and brother in Law John Martinovic, Albany. She was predeceased by her daughter Chelsea Gregorka on April 20, 1992. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 11:00 am from the First Presbyterian Church, 16 Jackson Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Jon A. Noble, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Salisbury Rural Cemetery, Town of Salisbury. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours.
