Obituary of John R. Blazek

SYRACUSE - John R. Blazek, 80 of 314 Westlind Road, Syracuse passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Iroquois Nursing Home, Jamesville where he had been a resident since March 3, 2005. He was born on November 7, 1924 in Leicester, NY the son of the late Stanislaw and Agatha (Bak) Blazejczyk. He was educated in Groton, NY schools. He was united in marriage to his wife of 45 years the former Nancy Donnelly on September 15, 1960 in E. Syracuse, NY. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish of Fairmont, NY Mr. Blazek was employed for 39 years by the City of Syracuse, Bureau of Transportation, retiring as a foreman. He is survived by his wife Nancy, a daughter Yvette Cameron and her husband Rick, Walden, NY, 2 sisters Helen Burke, Groton, NY and Sophie Chowaniec and her husband Walter, Florida, 4 grandchildren Melissa Waterbury and Krista, Sara and Michael Cameron and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Brownsville Blazek and a sister Stephanie Young. A memorial mass will be held at the Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls, NY at a time and date to be announced in the spring. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours.
