LeRoy J. Daley
LITTLE FALLS - LeRoy J. Daley, 94 formerly of State Route 169 (Middleville Rd.), Little Falls and since March of 2000 a resident of the Folts Home, Herkimer passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2002 at that residence.
He was born on October 18, 1908 in the Town of Fairfield the son of the late Nathaniel and Lola (Congdon) Daley. He was educated in Indian Castle Rural Schools.
He was united in marriage to his wife of 70 years the former Katherine Herringshaw on April 18, 1932 at the First Presbyterian Church, Little Falls.
Mr. Daley attended the First Baptist Church, Little Falls and was a member of the Herkimer Masonic Lodge # 423 F&AM.
Mr. Daley at onetime owned and operated a diary farm in the town of Fairfield. After leaving farming he was employed by the former Cherry - Burrell Corp., Little Falls. He was last employed as a crane operator for the Pettibone & Mulligan Co., Rome. Retiring in 1976.
Following his retirement he operated Daley's Game Farm on the Middleville Road for many years.
He is survived by his wife Katherine E., Mohawk, 4 sons Robert L. Daley and his wife Carolyn, Little Falls, Gerald A. Daley and his wife Sharon, Homasassa, FL, LeRoy L. Daley and his wife Jacqueline, Mohawk and Edward P. Daley and his wife Mary, Mohawk, a daughter Evelyn M. Noonan and her husband Eugene, Little Falls, 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Francis Daley and a sister Hazel Walrath.
Graveside services will be held at a time and date to be announced in the spring. Interment will take place in Stratford Cemetery, Town of Stratford.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours.
