Obituary of David J. Daley,
DOLGEVILLE David J. Daley, 70 of 17 Howard Street, Dolgeville passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Little Falls Hospital.
He was born on June 12, 1939 in Salisbury Center the son of the late Francis and Beatrice (Boyer) Daley. He was educated in Stratford School.
He was united in marriage to his wife of 39 years the former Dora Barnes on May 31, 1970 at the Salisbury Methodist Church parsonage with Rev. Dolan.
Mr. Daley was a veteran serving with US Army. He entered the service November 17, 1961 at Fort Hamilton, NY and was honorably discharged on October 31, 1967.
He was of the Methodist faith. He was also a past member of the Carpenters Union 120.
Mr. Daley was employed for 30 years by the Carpenters Union 120 as a Dry Waller. Retiring in 1992.
He is survived by his wife Dora, 2 sons David Randazzo and his wife Diane, Alder Creek, Donald Randazzo and his wife Joanne, VA, 3 daughters Kathy Perkins and her husband Allan (Skip), Dolgeville, Theresa Austin and her husband David, Dolgeville, Misty Bowen and her husband Patrick, Dolgeville, 2 brothers Daniel Daley, Timothy Daley and his wife Patricia both of St. Johnsville, 14 grandchildren Donald Jr., Christy, Leanne, Jason Randazzo, Mallory, Korey Perkins, Kaitlin, Kirk Daley, David Jr., Frank, Shianne Austin, Megan, Emily Brewer, Patrick Bowen, an uncle Irving Boyer, Jr. and his wife Carol, Stratford, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Daley was predeceased by a brother Francis Daley.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 5 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. John Reams, Pastor of the Salisbury United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Stratford Cemetery, Stratford at convenience of the family.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 3-5 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow.
