Obituary of Edward P. Deissler
LITTLE FALLS - Edward P. Deissler, 66 of 344 Dise Road, Little Falls passed away Monday, May 16, 2005 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica.
He was born on May 4, 1939 in Saranac Lake, NY the son of the late Frank S. and Anna (Hesse) Deissler. He was a graduate of Saranac Lake High School Class of 1957, as well as a graduate of Herkimer County Community College, Mohawk Valley Community College and the Utica School of Commerce with degrees in Engineering, Business and Computers.
He was married at onetime to the former Kanella Delivories.
Mr. Deissler was a veteran of the US Navy having served our country for 21 years. He entered the service on August 28, 1957. He served during the Vietnam War and saw active duty in Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War in 1991. He was honorable discharged as Electronics Technician Second Grade on January 1, 1996.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Little Falls and served at one time as a Deacon of that church.. He was also as a member of the American Legion Post 229, Utica and the Ilion/Frankfort Veterans Memorial Post # 502 and the Little Falls Elk's Lodge # 42 B.P.O.E.
Mr. Deissler was employed as a manufacturing engineer for the former MDS Corp, the Genicon Corp., the Momentum Corp., as well as the Curtains and Fabrics Co. all of Herkimer. He was last in that same capacity for the Xerox Corp., Utica.
He is survived by 3 daughters Kanella M. Ahluwalia and her husband Dr. Prabhat, MD, Little Falls, Karla A. Deissler-Nagy and her husband Steven, Bethlehem, PA and Kristen H. Foster and her husband Todd, Okeana, Ohio, a brother William Deissler, Saranac lake, NY, a grandson Jai Paul Ahluwalia, Little Falls and a granddaughter Megan K. Foster, Okeana, OH.. He was predeceased by 2 brothers John and Bernard Deissler.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2005 at 7:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Friday, May 20, 2005 from 4-7 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow.
