Obituary of Dianne Fredericks
NEWVILLE Dianne W. Fredericks, 59 of 130 Cramer Road, Little Falls, NY passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 at Faxton St. Lukes Hospital, New Hartford with her loving family and friends at her side.
She was born on March 12, 1950 in Geneva, NY the daughter of the late F. Gilbert and Gloria (Schaefer) Waltz. She was a graduate of Geneva High School Class of 1968, she attended SUNY Canton and was a graduate of Eisenhower College, Seneca Falls, NY where she received her degree in Humanities
She was united in marriage to her husband of 33 years Donald E. Fredericks on August 21, 1976 at the North Presbyterian Church, Geneva.
Mrs. Fredericks was an active member of the Benton Hall Academy PTC for many years and at one time served as president of that organization.
For the past 9 years she has been employed by Little Falls City School District at Benton Hall Academy as a Teachers Aide. She also served as a substitute teacher in Little Falls for several years and was the financial manager for Galedrive Farms in Newville from 1988 2008. Earlier in her working career she was the receptionist for local optometrist Dr. George Glenn in Little Falls.
A loving and devoted wife and mother she especially adored her beloved granddaughter Madalyn.
She is survived by her husband Donald, her son and daughter in law Brian and Colette Fredericks, Ilion, NY her daughter Nicole Fredericks, Little Falls, NY her granddaughter Madalyn Fredericks, Ilion, NY her sister and brother in law Elaine and Michael Vassello, Geneva, NY, her brothers and sisters in law Allen and Myra Fredericks, Little Falls, NY Dale and Rebecca Fredericks, Little Falls, NY Vickie and Charles Dunn, Raleigh, NC and Gale and Robert Palmer, Ft. Plain, NY and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY with Chaplin Ralph Horender, Indian Castle officiating. Interment will take place in Ephratah Rural Cemetery, Ephratah, NY.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Wednesday morning.
It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Fredericks be considered to the Helping Animals Live Organization (HALO), 72 N. Ann St., Little Falls, NY 13365. or to the Newville Union Church, 339 Lower Paradise Road, Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
