Obituary of James J. Dineen, Jr
DOLGEVILLE - James J. Dineen, Jr., 57 of 661 Military Road, Dolgeville passed away Thursday, May 4, 2006 at the Bassett Healthcare Center, Cooperstown where he had been a patient since April 30, 2006.
He was born on June 4, 1948 in Little Falls the son of James J. Dineen, Sr. of Salisbury and the late Louise G. (Lamphere) Dineen. He was educated in Dolgeville schools.
He was united in marriage to the former Donna M. Davis on December 23, 1986 in Herkimer.
Mr. Dineen was employed for many years by the former MDS Corp., Herkimer as a warehouse manager. He was later employed as a health aide for the Lexington Center's Stratford residence, retiring in 1997 due to ill health.
He is survived by his father James J. Dineen, Sr., Salisbury, his wife Donna, his son T/Sgt. Gregory J. Dineen, USAF and his fiancé© Rhonda, Hollman AFB, NM, his daughter Shelly L. Dineen and her fiancé© John Satterlee, Dolgeville, 4 brothers William C. Johnson and his wife Ellen, Queensbury, NY, Kenneth A. Dineen, Sr. and his wife Jean, Ilion, Jerry Dineen, Salisbury and Terry L. Dineen, Dolgeville, a sister Kathy Miller and her husband Ted, Sr., Dolgeville, 3 grandchildren Bryce, Andrea and Amanda Dineen, His mother in law and father in law Charles & Betty Ingerham, Salisbury, his brother in law David L. Davis, Salisbury, 2 sisters in law and their husband Lois & Ernest Miller, Cedarville and Betty & George Martin, Weedsport, NY and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Mark Dineen, who died in 1975 and by his mother Louise, who died in January of 2004.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2006 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Wrightson Tongue, Pastor of the United Methodist Church of Herkimer-Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Sunday, May 7, 2006 from 4-7 pm and to attend the funeral services Monday morning.
