Obituary of Edward Joseph Carroll

Rome- Edward Joseph Carroll, 72, of 113 Ringdahl Court, Rome passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 16, 2007 at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 16, 1934 in Astoria, Queens the son of the late John and Margaret (Ziegler) Carroll. He graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in New York City. He was united in marriage to the former Barbara A. Dwyer on December 24, 1961 in Massapequa, Long Island. Mr. Carroll worked maintenance for the former Daniel Green Factory in Dolgeville and retired after 16 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Barbara, 2 daughters Barbara A. Ward and her husband William, Richfield Springs and Patricia A. Morse and her husband Michael, Fort Plain, a brother Thomas Carroll and his wife Marion, Fort Lauderdale, FL, a granddaughter Barbara Ann Helen Pearson, 2 grandsons Daniel Joseph Ward and Hunter Byrce Ward and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Edward Joseph Carroll, Jr. and a sister Helen Erdman. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 11 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Leo Potvin officiating. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Herkimer. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 from 4-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Wednesday morning.
