Obituary of Edward T. Albrecht

LITTLE FALLS - Edward T. Albrecht, 82 of 153 N. Gardinier Road, Little Falls (Town of Danube) passed away Sunday, July 1, 2007 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica where he had been a patient since June 25, 2007. He was born on July 5, 1924 in Little Falls the son of the late Frank and Johanna (Podboy) Albrecht. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School class of 1942. He was united in marriage to his wife of 55 years the former Betty J. Haberman on September 1, 1951 at St. Paul's Universalist Church, Little Falls. Mr. Albrecht was an avid vegetable gardener, who was especially known for his garlic. He was last employed for 26 years as the maintenance supervisor at Herkimer County Community College, Herkimer. Retiring in 1989. He is survived by his wife Betty, Little Falls, his daughter and son in law Deborah and Joseph Alberico, Little Falls and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers Frank Albrecht, Ludwig Albrecht and Robert Albrecht and a sister Mary Mosher. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at 1:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Thomas Vail officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Albrecht be considered to the Mohawk Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, 235 N. Prospect St., Herkimer, NY 13350.
