Town of German Flatts- Elbert V. Dillenbeck, 79 of 836 State Route 5S, town of German Flatts passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 from injuries sustained in a automobile accident. He was born on April 4, 1929 in the town of Florida, NY, the son the late Chester and Gladys (Neff) Dillenbeck. He attended schools in the rural Ft. Plain area. He was united in marriage to his wife of 48 years the former Marlene M. Boepple on June 4, 1960 at the Newville Union Church with Rev. William Gilpen. Mr. Dillenbeck was employed by the Library Bureau, Herkimer. He retired in 1981 after 25 years of dedicated service. He is survived by his wife Marlene, 2 daughters Donna Dillenbeck, Linda Matthews and her husband Cary, Richfield Springs, a brother Hadley Dillenbeck, Ft. Plain, a sister Shirley Plantz and her husband Archie, Amsterdam and 3 grandchildren Andrew Quackenbush, Justin and Nichole Matthews. Funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Ft. Plain Cemetery, Ft. Plain. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls.
