Obituary of Henry H. Follmer
LITTLE FALLS — Henry H. Follmer, 87, of 68 Center Street, Little Falls, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at the Van Allen Nursing Home, Little Falls.
He was born on Oct. 26, 1915, in Little Falls, the son of Jacob and Mary (Hessler) Follmer. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School Class of 1933, as well as a graduate from the Milwaukee Art School. Mr. Follmer was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army; entering the service on Feb. 9, 1942. He served with the 4265th AAF Base Unit. He was honorably discharged as a corporal on Dec. 12, 1945.
He is survived by two sisters, Alice Lamb, Little Falls and Mildred Hobb and her husband, Ernest, Little Falls; five nieces, Donna Lamb, Cathy Lamb, Virginia Murphy, Barbara Ciano and Sandra Jones; four nephews, Terry, Richard, and Jon Monahan, and Edward Follmer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services to be held on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church, Petrie Street, Little Falls, with Vicar James Paulson, officiating. Internment will take place at the convenience of the family in Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls. Arrangements are by the Cahpman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours.
It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Follmer be considered to the Christ Lutheran Church, 14 Petrie St., Little Falls, N.Y. 13365 or to the Herkimer County Humane Society, P.O. Box 73, Mohawk, N.Y. 13407. Envelopes are available at the funeral home for this purpose.
