Obituary of Freda M. Burke

LITTLE FALLS Freda M. Burke, 96 of Little Falls and formerly Salisbury passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Alpine Nursing and Rehab. Center, Little Falls. She was born on August 27, 1916 in a log cabin in Constable, NY the daughter of the late J. Fred and Daisey (Brockway) Maloney and spent her life in the Adirondacks area. Her marriage to William (Bill) Burke took place on her birthday August 27, 1937. He predeceased her in 1984. Freda is survived by her daughters Barbara McLaughlin and partner Eugene Schwiler, Little Falls and Freda Boyer and her husband Francis, Dolgeville, 10 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren, a sister Ola Brusso, Malone, NY and Adele and her husband Chuck Shonya, Chateaugay and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Robert Burke, who was killed in action in Vietnam on September 16, 1968 and by 3 brothers and 10 sisters. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Curtiss Cemetery, Town of Salisbury. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY.
