Obituary of Helen M. Miller

LITTLE FALLS - Helen M. Miller, 96 formerly of the Bronner Road and Valley View Courts both of Little Falls passed away Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Van Allen Nursing Home, Little Falls where she had been a resident since She was born on April 10, 1910 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Marcewicz) Nalaskowski. She was educated in Eaton's Bush Rural Schools. She was united in marriage to her husband of 61 years Raymond C. Miller on May 5, 1931 in Nyack, NY. Mr. Miller predeceased her on June 18, 1991. She was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls. She was an avid bowler into her nineties, belonging to leagues at the Gorge View Lanes, Little Falls. Mrs. Miller was employed at onetime by the former National Automotive Fibers Co., Little Falls. She is survived by her daughter Margaret Murray and her husband William, Lake Placid, FL, a brother William Nalaskowski, Richfield Springs and a sister Jennie Foster, Dolgeville, 2 grandchildren Daniel Murray and his wife Terry, Longmont, CO and Pamela McCabe, Westminster, MD, 3 great grandchildren Kelly McCabe, Brian McCabe and McKenzie Murray and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph Nalaskowski, who died in December of 2006, 4 sisters Bessie Golowicz, who died in August of 1981, Lottie Metott, who died in January of 1993, Mary Pavalock, who died in December of 1998 and Stella Petkovsek, who died in February of 2001. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, Rector of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 from 10-11 am and to attend the funeral service to follow. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Miller be considered to the Little Falls Hospital, 140 Burwell Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
