Obituary of Helen T. Evans

LITTLE FALLS - Helen T. Evans, 93 of 317 Ridgemont St., Bristol, TN, formerly of Valley View Courts Apt.# M-6, Little Falls and many years of Hendrick Manor, Little Falls passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007 at the NHS Division of National Healthcare, Bristol, VA. She was born on March 19, 1914 in East Leverett, MA, the daughter of the late Linus G. and Marion (Harlow) Torrey. She was educated in East Syracuse, NY schools. She was united in marriage to her husband of 54 years Harry C. Evans on October 25, 1930 at the United Methodist Church, Collamer, NY. Mr. Evans predeceased her on May 14, 1984. Mrs. Evans was a member and Past Matron of the Auskerada Chapter # 204, OES, Dolgeville. She is survived by her son James E. Evans, Bristol, TN, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Harry C. Evans, III, who died on October 12, 1997 and by 2 daughters Patricia J. Cagwin, who died on August 2, 1983 and Nancy J. Evans, who died on February 3, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2007 at 2:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with Pastor Gertrude Ortlieb of the Inghams Mills Baptist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, July 19, 2007 from 1-2 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow.
