Earl H. Helterline
STRATFORD - Earl H. Helterline, 88 formerly of 111 Cemetery Road, Stratford and June 2002 a resident of the Residential Healthcare facility at Little Falls Hospital passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at that residence.
He was born on February 3, 1918 in the Town of Salisbury the son of the late Raymond and Mary (McGowan) Helterline. He was a graduate of Stratford High School Class of 1936.
He was married to the former Catherine Jameson. She predeceased him on April 23, 1979.
He was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Merchant Marines.
He is a member of the Stratford United Methodist Church. As well as an over 50 year member of the Dolgeville Masonic Lodge #796 F&AM.
Mr. Helterline along with his brother Russell was co-owner and operator of the Helterline Lumber Co, Stratford.
He is survived by 3 nieces Gail Bromley, Arizona, Jane H. Malin, Salisbury and Linda Helterline, Stratford and a nephew Mark Foster, N. Carolina and many dear and close friends. He was predeceased by his brother Russell J. Helterline, who died on June 10, 2002 and by his sister Evelyn Foster, who died on August 5, 1990.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls Rev. Joseph Albrecht, Pastor of the Stratford United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Stratford Cemetery, Stratford in the spring.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, February 11, 2006 from 9-11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow.
