Obituary of Isabel A. Gray
DOLGEVILLE Isabel A. Gray, 84 of 171 S. Main Street, Dolgeville passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009 with her beloved family at her side at the home of her son Rick in Clifton Park following a brief illness.
She was born on December 17, 1924 in the Town of Salisbury the daughter of the late Lyman E. and Edith (Darling) Seeley. She was a graduate of Dolgeville High School.
She was united in marriage to her husband of 49 years Walter Gray on July 25, 1942 at the United Methodist Church, Dolgeville. Mr. Gray predeceased her on May 28, 1991.
She was employed at one time for 11 years by the former Daniel Green Co., Dolgeville until leaving to devote herself to raising her family.
Mrs. Gray enjoyed spending time with her family and especially enjoyed her years spent at the family camp on Pleasant Lake, as well as her daily visits with her friends at Adelines Sweet Treats, Dolgeville which was the highlight to her day.
A beloved wife, mother and grandmother she devoted her life to her family and was always there when they needed her as a trusted friend and confidant.
She is survived by 2 sons and daughters in law Ricky W. and Lori Gray and Randy L. and Susan Gray, both of Clifton Park, 2 sisters Wilma Wesselmann, Dolgeville and Phyllis Wagner, Mooresville, NC, 4 grandchildren Jason Gray and his wife Heather, Ballston Lake, Jessica Gray and her fiancé© Vince Bisson, Clifton Park, Corey Gray, Clifton Park and Erin Gray, Clifton Park, 2 sisters in law Irene Seeley, Dolgeville and Hazel Gray, Canajoharie and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Burel R. Seeley on January 31, 1995.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with Pastor Gertrude Ortlieb of the Inghams Mills Baptist Church officiating.
It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Gray be considered to the Saratoga County Hospice, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
