Obituary of Elizabeth K. James

UTICA — Elizabeth K. James, 88, formerly of the Stage Road, Utica and since July of 2001, a resident of Valley Health Services, Herkimer, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002, at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica, where she had been a patient since Oct. 23, 2002. She was born on March 1, 1914, in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Jorge and Elizabeth (Mizerak) Kudela. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School and Albany State Teachers College. She was united in marriage to her husband of 53 years, Douglas O. James on April 14, 1940, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Albany. Mr. James predeceased her on May 12, 1993. She is survived by her son, Douglas F. James, Marcy and her daughter, Judith Scheid and her husband, Harry, Little Falls; two sisters, Anna Chenette, Rensselaer, N.Y. and Amelia Janezic and her husband William, Little Falls; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and four nieces. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with Rev. William DePierro, pastor of the Valley Baptist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 4-7 p.m. and to attend the funeral services Friday morning. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. James be considered to Valley Health Services or to St. Elizabeth's Medical; Center. Envelopes are available at the funeral home for this purpose.
