Obituary of Linda J. Walrath Herbster
SALISBURY CENTER Linda J. Walrath Herbster, 63 of the Donovan Road, Town of Salisbury passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012.
She was born on June 9, 1948 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Albert and Ellen (Wayman) Williams. She was educated in Schenevus, NY schools and later received her degree in accounting from Herkimer County Community College.
She was united in marriage to her first husband Jean R. Walrath on September 5, 1964. He predeceased her on August 28, 1995. She was again united in marriage to Charles Herbster on June 5, 2005. He predeceased her on January 26, 2012.
She was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, Salisbury Center.
Mrs. Herbster was employed for thirty years by the former Daniel Green Co., Dolgeville after their closing she was employed at one time by Wal-Mart and part time for Motors Inn, Dolgeville. She was last employed for ten years as the bookkeeper / secretary for North American Van Lines, Utica.
She is survived by her sons Everett H. Walrath, Salisbury Center and Dean A. Walrath and his wife Kathie, Dolgeville, her daughter Jill Tyoe and her husband John, Oppenheim, brothers Charles Williams (Eleanor), Mohawk and Patrick Williams, Fairfield, her beloved grandchildren who were the center of her world Nicole, Zack, Andrea, Kristopher, Kyle and Kory Walrath, Sarah and Samantha Tyoe and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons Daniel Walrath in 1990 and Gene Walrath in 2004 and by a brother Nelson Williams.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. Interment will take place in Curtiss Cemetery, Town of Salisbury.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 3-6 pm and to attend the funeral services Monday morning.
