Obituary of Mary S. Grainer

LITTLE FALLS Mary S. Grainer, 78 of 590 E. Monroe Street, Little Falls passed away Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Little Falls Hospital. She was born on May 29, 1929 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Abram and Fannie (Austin) Swartz. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School class of 1947. She was united in marriage to her husband of 57 years Kenneth Grainer on April 9, 1948 in Newport. Mr. Grainer predeceased her on January 17, 2005. She was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls. Mrs. Grainer was employed for 23 years in the Cafeteria of Benton Hall School, Little Falls retiring in 1991. She is survived by her 2 sons Richard K. Grainer and John A. Grainer, both of Little Falls, her beloved grandchildren Lauren Grainer, Herkimer and Ryan Grainer, Menands, NY a brother in law Bernard Grainer and his wife Winifred, Leesburg, FL, 4 sisters in law Mary Lou Grainer, Little Falls, Lucille Bruce and her husband Sheldon, Barre, VT, Dorothy Scanlon, Herkimer and Arlene Puglisi, Utica, her special nephews John Nemcek, Robert Nemcek, Jeff Grainer and Bruce Grainer, all of Little Falls and many other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 1:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, Rector of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, January 26, 2008 from 10:00 am 1:00 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Grainer be considered to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 588 E. Albany St., Little Falls, NY 13365.
