Obituary of Cheryl D. Mayton

STARK - Cheryl D. Mayton, 61 of 1817 State Route 168, Mohawk passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at Bassett Healthcare Center, Cooperstown where she had been a patient since April 4, 2005. She was born on November 21, 1943 in Lowville, NY the daughter of the late Paul and Doris (Hamblin) Lambert. She was educated in Little Falls and Van Hornesville Schools. She was united in marriage to Paul Mayton on November 9, 1963 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls. A full time wife and mother Mrs. Mayton was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls. As well as being active in the Fresh Air Fund and at onetime the Owen D. Young School, PTA, Van Hornesville. She is survived by her husband Paul, her step mother Jane Lambert, Herkimer, 4 sons Bernie P. Mayton and his wife Theresa, Richfield Springs, Paul Mayton, Jr., Mohawk, Robert A. Mayton and his wife Heidi, Cobleskill, and David B. Mayton and his wife Emily, Ft. Plain, a daughter Paula L. Monk and her husband Donald, Mohawk, a brother Allen Lambert, Oregon, a sister Karen Stokes and her husband Salvatore, Frankfort, 14 grandchildren John Sebastian, Ian Sebastian, Michael Mayton, Savanna Mayton, Kailey Herringshaw, Cody Monk, Dakota Monk, Dustin Monk, Robert Mayton, Jr., Todd Mayton, Alex Carroll, Joshua Carroll, Joshua Mayton and Jacob Mayton and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2005 at 10:00 am from the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Gansevoort St., Little Falls, with the Rev. Carl Evans, Pastor officiating. Interment will take place in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls later in the spring. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Mayton be considered to the American Diabetes Association, 1508 Genesee St., Utica, NY 13502 or the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
