Roderick William " Bill " Nichols
SALISBURY-Roderick William " Bill " Nichols 62 of 2830 State Route 29, Dolgeville passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 17, 2005, in the Town of Morehouse.
He was born on July 20, 1942 in Little Falls, New York the son of the late William and Virginia (Vickery) Nichols. He was educated in the West Canada Schools.
He was member of the Dolgeville United Methodist Church, Rod N Gun Club, Dolgeville, Sprite Club, Oppenheim and past member of the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Nichols was the owner and operator of Nichols Excavation, a logging company in the Town of Salisbury.
He is survived by a son Roderick Nichols and wife Pia, Little Falls and a daughter Coreena Ouderkirk and husband Jeffrey, Oppenheim, 2 brothers Carl Nichols and wife Patricia, Salisbury and Richard Nichols and wife Deborah, Salisbury and two sisters Donna Smith and husband Richard, Ft. Plain and Deborah Barton Husband Gary, Dolgeville, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 21, 2005 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Jeffery Losey, pastor of the Dolgeville United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Salisbury Rural Cemetery, Town of Salisbury in the spring.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Sunday, February 20, 2005 from 4-6 pm and to attend the funeral services Monday morning.
