Obituary of Zuzanna M. (Sue) Potrikus

Zuzanna M. (Sue) Potrikus LITTLE FALLS - Zuzanna M. (Sue) Potrikus, 87 formerly of 20 Petrie Street, Little Falls and since April of 2004 a resident of Ocala, Florida passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the Oakhurst Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center, Ocala, FL. She was born on October 23, 1918 in Little Falls the daughter of the late John and Zuzanna (Foltin) Klc. She was educated in Richfield Springs and Little Falls Schools. She was united in marriage to Leo T. Potrikus on December 6, 1950 at St. Mary's Church, Little Falls by the Rev. Edward Heenan. Mr. Potrikus predeceased her on September 1, 1978. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish of Little Falls. A volunteer for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Children's Miracle Network for many years. She was also an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. Mrs. Potrikus was employed for 13 years by the former Cherry-Burrell Corp., Little Falls. Retiring several years ago. She is survived by 3 sons Leo Potrikus and his wife Suzanne, North Syracuse, William Potrikus and his wife Ellen, Bradenton, FL and John Potrikus and his life partner Steve Bickford, Ocala, FL, a daughter Susan Potrikus, North Syracuse, a sister Ann Chickering and her husband Robert, Vermont, 4 grandchildren Alaina, John, David and Ryan Potrikus and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Ann Marie Potrikus, who died on February 15, 1971, and by 2 sisters Elizabeth Grabowski and Katherine Snell. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 10:15 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls and 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. of Main & John St.'s, Little Falls where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Vail. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Monday, April 17, 2006 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Tuesday morning.
