Obituary of Richard H. Sawyer

LITTLE FALLS Richard H. Sawyer, 73 of 759 E. Monroe Street, Little Falls passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at his residence. He was born on February 10, 1939 in Stratford, NY the son of the late George and Ruth ( Bills) Sawyer. Mr. Sawyer was a well known "Elvis" impersonator and performing artist in the valley area for many years and was very proud of his Native American heritage. He is survived by his son William Sawyer and his wife Luann, Johnstown, his 3 daughters Kim Hoteling and her husband Doug, Little Falls, Tammy Crane, Ilion and Cindy Grainer, Little Falls, 2 sisters Geraldine Christman, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Lorraine Izzo and her husband Bruce, Dolgeville, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren a special friend Kelly Banas, Holland Patent, NY and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother George Sawyer in 1990 and by his grandson Jacob Hoteling in 2000. In keeping with his wishes funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
