Obituary of Robert J. Kelleher, Sr
Little Falls- Robert J. Kelleher, Sr., 90, formerly of 120 State Route 169, Little Falls passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Valley Health Services, Herkimer where he has been a patient since November 1999.
He was born on August 25, 1917 in Little Falls the son of the late Patrick and Margaret Kelleher. He was educated in the Fairfield Rural School.
Mr. Kelleher was united in marriage to the former Marion Weaver on April 27, 1946 at St. Marys Church, Little Falls. She predeceased him on November 23, 1998.
Mr. Kelleher worked as a mechanic for 35 years in the family owned business, Kelleher Implements, retiring in 1984.
He is survived by a son Robert J. Kelleher, Jr. and his wife Karen, Little Falls, 3 daughters Mary Daley, Mohawk, Ann Monahan and her husband John, Fredericksburg, MD., Ruth Boepple and her husband Frank, Little Falls, a brother Francis Kelleher, Little Falls, a sister Marion Scanlon, Little Falls, 14 grandchildren Rose Becker and her husband Clint, WY., Christine McDonald and her husband James, NC., Edward Daley, WY, Austin Daley and his wife Tonya, Van Hornsville, Shawn Daley and his wife Carole, Mohawk, Cindy Monahan, TX., Jermey Monahan, VA., Teresa Swider and her husband Robert, Albany, Kathy Fox and her husband Richard, Little Falls, Gina Pereira and her husband Todd, Albany, Eli Boepple and his wife Kim, Little Falls, Patrick Kelleher and his wife Allie, MT, Joseph Kelleher, Little Falls, Robert Kelleher, Little Falls, 15 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Kelleher in March of 1990 and a brother-in-law Edward Daley.
Graveside memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 11:00 am at St. Johns Cemetery, Newport with the Rev. Leo Potvin officiating. There are no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Valley Health Services, Herkimer for their care and compassion shown to Mr. Kelleher over the past 9 years.
