Obituary of Howard E. Rogers

Howard E. Rogers Salisbury Center- Howard E. Rogers, 91 formerly of Salisbury Center currently a resident of Valley Health Services, Inc., Herkimer passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at that facility. Howard was born June 2, 1911 in the town of Fairfield, NY the son of the late William T. and Lucy Ann (Simons) Rogers, and educated in the Dolgeville Schools. He was united in marriage on March 31, 1933 to his wife, the former Sylvia Moore in Salisbury Center with the Reverend Wesley Baker who officiated the ceremony. He was employed by Griffith Fuel Company for 20 years, Clifford Fuel Company for 10 years and Brekwells, all of Dolgeville. Mr. Rogers was of the Methodist faith and he was a loving and caring man and loved the outdoors. Surviving besides his loving wife Sylvia of 70 years, are 2 daughters; Marlene Guido of Mohawk and Myrna Daniels of Little Falls, 5 grandchildren; Philip Douglas, Mohawk, Linda Crocker, Little Falls, Steven Guido, Peekskill, Kim and Todd Daniels, Little Falls and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rogers was predeceased by a brother Arnold Rogers and a sister Mabel Cool. A graveside services will be held at the Curtis Cemetery, Town of Salisbury on Saturday, April 19, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. With the Reverend Robert Jeffers, Pastor of the Salisbury United Methodist Church officiating. In keeping with Mr. Rogers wishes there will be no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are with the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls.
