LITTLE FALLS - Clinton A. Sperbeck, 89 of 53 Church Street, Little Falls and since March of 2002 a resident of the Folts Home, Herkimer passed away Sunday, May 25, 2003 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica where he had been a patient since May 20, 2003.
He was born on July 20, 1913 in Little Falls the son of the late Clinton A. and Ethel M. (Owens) Sperbeck, Sr.. He was educated in Little Falls Schools.
He was united in marriage to the former Mildred M. Van Alstyne on September 25, 1935 at the home of the bride's parents in East Herkimer. Mrs. Sperbeck predeceased him on July 27, 1989.
He was a member of St. Paul's Universalist Church, Little Falls. He was an avid small airplane pilot having log many hours in flight and was very well versed in airplane building and mechanics and was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
Mr. Sperbeck was a commercial printer the owner and operator of Sperbeck's Printing Co., Little Falls.
He is survived by 2 sisters in law Margaret Sperbeck, Little Falls and Margaret Prochazka, Little Falls, his close friends Bernard and Jean Sagatis, Mohawk and his 2 nieces Elaine Sperbeck, Cairo, NY and Janice Bretscher, Ithaca, NY. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Robert T. Sperbeck, who died on June 7, 1991 and Harold O. Sperbeck, who died on May 31, 1996.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. James Thomas officiating. Interment will take place in Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 from 10 - 11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow.
