Obituary of Matthew (Leo) Thurston

Matthew (Leo) Thurston HERKIMER - Matthew (Leo) Thurston, 31 269 N. Main Street, Herkimer passed away Monday, December 26, 2005 at Bassett Healthcare Center, Cooperstown. He was born on August 22, 1974 in Little Falls the son of Harold W. Thurston and Donna (Sanderson) Thurston both of Herkimer. He attended Little Falls High School. Mr. Thurston attended programs through the Herkimer Area Resource Center, Herkimer. He is survived by his father Harold W. Thurston and his wife Ruth, Herkimer, his mother Donna Thurston, Herkimer, a brother Scott W. Thurston, Herkimer, a sister Christine Thurston, Herkimer, 2 step brothers Barry Schuyler, Little Falls and AFC Matthew Schuyler, USAF, Idaho, 2 step sisters Sarah Schuyler and Heather Carpenter, both of Herkimer and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Harold and Mary Thurston, his grandfather Garfield Lyon, a uncle Delvin Brown and a great uncle Clifford Thurston. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 6:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, December 29, 2005 from 5-6 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Matthew be considered to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057 Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
