Obituary of Theresa A. Tibbitts
LITTLE FALLS - Theresa A. Tibbitts, 73 of 1894 State Route 169, Little Falls passed away Thursday, September 15, 2005 at her residence.
She was born on December 28, 1931 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Cagney) O'Connell. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy, Little Falls class of 1951.
Mrs. Tibbitts was united in marriage to Donald E. Tibbitts, Sr. on October 17, 1953 at St. Mary's Church, Little Falls. Mr. Tibbitts predeceased her on January 29, 2002.
She was a member of the Holy Family Parish of Little Falls.
Mrs. Tibbitts was employed at onetime by the former Herkimer County Trust Co., and the Salada Foods Corp., both Little Falls. She was last employed for 18 years as a switchboard operator for the Little Falls Hospital.
She is survived by 2 sons Donald E. Tibbitts, Jr. and his wife Aurora, Mohawk and James F. Tibbitts, Little Falls, a brother Donald F. O'Connell and his wife Violet, Palatine Bridge, NY, 2 grandchildren Michael and Kristine Tibbitts, a niece Mary Ann Cheney, Corinth, NY and several other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Neil Finley, Jr. and a sister Margaret Robinson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at 10:30 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls and at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. Main & John St.'s, Little Falls where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, September 17, 2005 from 10:00 - 10:30 am and to attend the funeral services to follow.
