Obituary of Margaret E. Trask
HERKIMER - Margaret E. Trask, 93 passed away Saturday, January 15, 2005 at the Folts Home, Herkimer where she had been a resident since July of 1989.
She was born on January 6, 1912 in the Town of Columbia the daughter of the late Clarence A. and Martha Jane (Brownrigg) Bailey. She was a graduate of Richfield Springs High School.
She was united in marriage to her husband of 56 years Homer I. Trask on October 24, 1931 in Richfield Springs. Mr. Trask predeceased her on January 14, 1987
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gouverneur, NY. As well as a member and past matron of the Arbutis Chapter O.E.S. and the Rebecca Lodge both of Richfield Springs.
Mrs. Trask was employed as a cook in various restaurants in the Richfield Springs area. She was last employed in that same capacity for the Halfway House Restaurant between Little Falls and Dolgeville retiring in 1967.
She is survived by 2 daughters Naomi Gross and her husband Albert, Herkimer and Christobell Sube and her husband Michael, Little Falls, 3 grandchildren Gale Myers, Rochester, Jeffrey Sube, Baltimore, MD and Carrie Beth Gabriel, Arvada, CO, a great grandson Robert Myers and his wife Alona, Rochester and a great great granddaughter Anna Caroline Myers and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 sisters Marion Rubino and Mabel Jastremski and by a grandson Greg Urich.
Memorial services will be held at a time to be announced. Interment will take place in Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls in the spring.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours.
It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Trask be considered to the Folts Home Foundation, 104 N. Washington Street, Herkimer, NY 13350 or to a charity of ones choice. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
