Obituary of William G. Markell

DOLGEVILLE - William G. Markell, 95 formerly of 56 North Helmer Ave., Dolgeville and recently a resident of the Folts Home, Herkimer passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at University Hospital, Syracuse. He was born on September 18, 1914 in Dolgeville the son of the late Harry and Maude (Marsh) Markell. He was educated in the Dolgeville Schools. Mr. Markell was employed for many years by the former Daniel Green Shoe Mfg., Dolgeville. He was a member of the Dolgeville Masonic Lodge # 796 F&AM. He is survived by a grandson Peter Markell and his wife Kelly, Stanfield, NC., granddaughter Nancy Calleja and her husband Joseph, Cooperstown, great grandson Ryan Markell, NC., great granddaughter Stacey Rando, NC. He was predeceased by a son Peter B. Markell in September 24, 2003, a grandson Lee Markell in August 29, 2000 and a sister Norma Delmarsh. Graveside Memorial service will be held at Dolgeville Cemetery, Dolgeville on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 PM. with members of Dolgeville Masonic Lodge # 796 F&AM conducting their ritualistic service. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no public calling hours.
