Obituary of William R. Clark, Jr
LITTLE FALLS - William R. Clark, Jr., 82 of 191 Church Street, Little Falls passed away Monday, April 5, 2004 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica where he had been a patient since March 27, 2004.
He was born on October 6, 1922 in Little Falls the son of the late William Roscoe and Emily (Bradley) Clark, Sr. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School Class of 1939 and was a life long resident of Little Falls.
He was united in marriage to his wife of 47 years the former Jenny Lodge on June 27, 1953 at the First United Methodist Church, Little Falls with the Rev. Winkworth officiating. Mrs. Clark predeceased him on June 24, 2000.
Mr. Clark was a veteran of the US Maritime Service , entering the service on November 14, 1944. He served at Sheeps Head Bay, Brooklyn and in St. Petersburg, FL. He was discharged on July 25, 1945.
He was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls. As well as an over 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge # 181, F&AM, Little Falls and since 1950 a member of the Royal Arch Masons, Chapter # 161, Utica.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his family during the summer at his camp on Lake Pleasant since 1961.
Mr. Clark was employed for over 40 years as a machine adjuster for the Salada Foods Co., Little Falls, retiring on September 1, 1983.
He is survived by his son and daughter in law David and Debra Clark, Bow, NH and his beloved granddaughter Kelsey Clark, a brother Carl (Pat) Clark and his wife Elsie, Little Falls, a sister in law Edna Skandera, Little Falls and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Edward Clark, who died on March 13, 2000.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at 2:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, Rector of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls later in the spring.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 from 12-2 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow.
