Obituary of Reha Elizabeth (Betty) Cannerelli
LITTLE FALLS - Reha Elizabeth (Betty) Cannerelli, 89 of 760 E. Monroe St., Apt. A-4, Little Falls passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.
She was born on November 2, 1924 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Bryant and Hazel (White) Kelly. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School and the NY School of Nursing, New York City.
She was married at onetime to Harold Montana and was later united in marriage to Louis Cannerelli, who predeceased her.
Mrs. Cannerelli was employed as a registered Nurse in New York City Hospitals for many years and was later employed in the same capacity, until her retirement by St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Utica. Following her retirement she continued nursing in private home care.
She is survived by her sons; Alvin Montana, Little Falls Ronald Montana, Rock Hill, SC, her daughters; Coralu Janie (Montana) Showalter and her husband Ted, Canastota and Debbie Knight and her husband John, New Hartford, step sons; Steve Cannerelli, Ovid, NY, Louis Cannerelli and Kenneth Cannerelli, both of Phoenix, AZ, her brother; Francis Kelly, Little Falls and sister; Florence Baker, Ilion, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son; Rev. Lt. Col. David A Montana, US Air Force in 2005 and by her brothers; William and Bryant Kelly and sisters; Vera Kraszewski, Mary Bokowski and Rose Jones.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 1:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY with the Rev. Thomas Lawless, of the Holy family parish Church, Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 11-1 pm and to attend the funeral services on to follow.
