Obituary of Elizabeth M Reynolds
LITTLE FALLS – Elizabeth Mae Reynolds, 92 formerly of Valley View Courts, Little Falls and since 2011 a resident of the Alpine Nursing & Rehab. Center, Little Falls passed away Monday, March 3, 2014 at that residence.
She was born on March 21, 1921 in Palatine Bridge, NY the daughter of the late Morris and Emma (Saltsman) Kling. She was educated in Canajoharie Schools.
She was united to her husband of 60 years Charles G. Reynolds on November 18, 1942 at Camp Wheeler outside of Macon Georgia. Charles was a member of the Post Wheeler Army Band and following his discharge the couple returned to Little Falls in 1945. Mr. Reynolds predeceased her on February 16, 2003.
Mrs. Reynolds was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls, was past president of the Little Falls American Legion Auxiliary, a member of the Rock City Chapter # 204 OES, Little Falls, the Herkimer Home Bureau and served on the Election Board as an Election Inspector for many years. She liked to be active and just loved people. She always had a smile. In her earlier years she did ceramics and played bingo. She also liked to read.
She was employed as a switch board operator for several years by the former Cherry – Burrell Corp., Little Falls. She was last employed in the packing department for the Salada Foods Corp., Little Falls retiring in 1983.
She is survived by her nieces: Barbara Connor and husband John, Little Falls, NY, Paula Marie Temple and husband David, Hummelstown, PA, Cheryl Sitterly and husband, Mark, Columbia, SC, Great Nieces: Alyssa Ehrenreich, Columbia, SC., Brianne Temple, Hummelstown, PA, Rachel Connor and Anna Connor both of Shippensburg, PA, Nephew: Michael J. Connor and wife Tina, Shippensburg, PA, Great Nephews: Evan Temple, Hummelstown, PA and Joshua Connor, Shippensburg, PA and her Brother in law: Robert McFee and her Special friends: Olga Celebi, Reggie Kuzmak, Vicky Yakubec, and Nancy Brown
She was predeceased by her sisters Shirley McFee and Betsy Kling.
Graveside services will be held at a time and date to be announced at the Ames Cemetery, Ames, NY later in the spring.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours.
