Obituary of Barry Z Haggerty
LITTLE FALLS - Barry Z. Haggerty, 71 of State Route 167, Little Falls passed away, Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Little Falls Hospital.
He was born on May 1, 1943 in Little Falls the son of the late Leonard O. and Sophia (Bednarski) Mosher. He attended Owen D. Young School in Van Hornesville.
Mr. Haggerty enlisted in the US Army on September 20, 1960 in Syracuse and was stationed at Fort Rucker, Alabama until his honorable discharge on September 31, 1966.
He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local # 545, Syracuse and was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Hanna Construction Co., Utica for over 30 years.
A stubborn and bullheaded man who would help anyone whenever they needed it. He is survived by his step son; Bradley Parks and his wife Cynthia of Florida, his brothers; Richard B. Mosher and his wife Mary, Indian Castle, Leonard Mosher, Florida, Timothy Mosher and his wife Jill, Little Falls and Dayton Mosher and his wife Felicia, Newville, his sisters; Laurie Kimbrell and her husband JR, Little Falls and Christy Corso and her companion William Smith, Oppenheim, his dear companion; Barbara Daley, Dolgeville, grandchildren; Robert Parks and Rebecca Parks and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his companion of 39 years Sue Parks in January 2002.
Graveside memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 6:00 pm at the Ostrander Cemetery, West Fiery Hill Road, Town of Danube.
