Obituary of Betty V Buehler
LITTLE FALLS - Betty V. Buehler, 91 of Little Falls and recently of Acacia Village, Utica passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Masonic Care Community.
She was born on March 20, 1925 in Mohawk the daughter of the late John W. and Mildred (Jones) Vrooman. She was a graduate of Mohawk High School class of 1942 as well as a graduate of Oswego State College, Class of 1946.
On August 10, 1947 she was united in marriage to her husband of 59 years, Robert J. Buehler at the Paines Hollow Methodist Church. Mr. Buehler predeceased her on December 2, 2006.
Betty was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Little Falls and a member of the Mohawk Homestead Board of Directors. She enjoyed golf, bridge and spending time with her family. Betty began her professional career as an elementary teacher in Great Neck, LI and later in Suffern and Canton NY. She worked with the Child Protective Services of St. Lawrence County and enjoyed working in the real estate field in Canton. She and Bob relocated to Little Falls upon retirement in 1983.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Linda B. Vincent and husband Alan of Little Falls and Pamela B. Martin and husband Dean of Saranac Lake. She was predeceased by two sisters, Jane Smith and husband William of Mohawk and Marjorie Holmes and husband William of Rochester. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren Todd R. Vincent and wife Cristy of Little Falls, Maxwell A. Martin and fiancé Jessica Lusk of Ballston Lake and Nicole A. Martin and husband Jason Lee of Essex, VT. Betty visited her sister-in-law, Betty Ann Roberts in Delray, FL. As well as nieces and nephews in NY and FL.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Oak Hill Cemetery, Herkimer with the Pastor Tamara Razzano of the First Presbyterian Church, Little Falls officiating.
Arrangements are by Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc. 42 N. Ann Street. Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours.
