Obituary of Jane C. MacDonald

LITTLE FALLS - Jane C. MacDonald, 91 formerly of Fincks Basin Road, Little Falls and more recent of the Hunigton Living Center, Waterloo, NY passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at that residence. She was born on March 20, 1925 in Little Falls, NY the daughter of the late George P. and Eleanor (Thomas) O’Neil. She was educated in Little Falls schools. On June 27, 1942 she was united in marriage to her husband of 53 years Lawrence F. MacDonald at St. Mary’s Church Parish House, Little Falls. Mr. MacDonald predeceased her on December 28, 1995. Mrs. Mac Donald was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls and a former member of the Little Falls Home Bureau. She also taught classes on edible wild plants and volunteered at the Little Falls Public Library. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Dawn and Nicholas Gillotti, Geneva, NY, her sister in law, Gladys O’Neil, Little Falls, her grandchildren Jason Gillotti, Geneva and Nicole Trickler and her husband Jeffery, Geneva, great grandsons, Nicholas and Cooper Trickler and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother George (Buddy) O’Neil on January 6, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 588 Albany Street, Little Falls, NY with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, Rector officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. MacDonald be considered to the Alzheimer Association CNY Chapter, 441 Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
