Obituary of Helen L. Scanlon

DOLGEVILLE – Helen L. Scanlon, 94 formerly of 53 S. Main St., (Parkside Courts) Dolgeville, NY passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Alpine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Little Falls where she had been a resident since November of 2014. She was born on April 23, 1922 in the Town of Fairfield, NY the daughter of the late William and Minnie (Durrin) Satterlee. She was educated in local schools. On June 4, 1947 she was united in marriage to Douglas Scanlon, who predeceased her in 1957. Mrs. Scanlon was employed for several years until her retirement as a machine operator for the Rawlings-Adirondack Co, Dolgeville. She is survived by her brother Clifford Satterlee of Gray and several nieces and nephews including Beverly Holdridge and her family of Little Falls. She was predeceased by her brothers, William, Lloyd and Leland Satterlee and by her sister Ellen Looman. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer in the spring. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY.
