Obituary of Sandra N Tinkler

LITTLE FALLS – Sandra N. Tinkler, 71 formerly of State Route 5S, Little Falls (Town of Danube) passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Highlands Living Center of Pittsford, NY. She was born on January 8, 1946 in Gloversville, NY, the daughter of the late Stephen and Kathryn (Dutcher) Hoyt. She was a graduate of Johnstown High School and attended Herkimer County BOCES where she received her LPN training to be a nurse. She was united in marriage to her husband of 16 years, Robert S. Tinkler, on April 25, 1964 at the First Baptist Church in Johnstown with Pastor Sampson officiating. Mr. Tinkler predeceased her on August 21, 1980. Mrs. Tinkler attended the Christian Assembly of God, Schuyler. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, spending many hours working in her flower beds and spending time with her beloved Rufus her little white Pomeranian. She employed as a LPN for many years before retiring in 2005 due to health related concerns. She is survived by her son Michael Tinkler and his fiancé Denise Hingre, Marietta, NY and her daughter, Michele Fitch and her husband Scott and her beloved grandson, Nicholas Meka of Penfield, NY, her sister and best friend Maureen VanWoert and her husband Glyndon of Amsterdam, her brother in law Daniel Tinkler and his wife Patricia of Little Falls and her sister in law, Rosemarie Tinkler of Clinton and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 12:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from 10 am – 12 pm and to attend the services to follow. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring. In lieu of flowers It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Tinkler be considered to the Neuroscience Department (9th Floor) of University Hospital, 750 Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
