Obituary of Arthur D Baldwin

PISECO – Arthur D. Baldwin, Sr., 86, Piseco, NY passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville following a brief illness. He was born on May 25, 1930 in Syracuse, NY the son of the late Oran and Alice (Robertson) Baldwin. He attended Eastwood High School, Syracuse. He was united in marriage to his wife of 46 years the former Florence M. Dambro on December 9, 1950 in Syracuse. Mrs. Baldwin predeceased him on December 3, 1996. Mr. Baldwin and his wife were lifelong residents of Syracuse until 1993 when they relocated to Piseco, NY. He was a member of the Teamster Union Local # 317, Syracuse. An avid outdoorsman excelling in hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Mr. Baldwin was employed for over 38 years as a truck Driver for the Canadian Pacific LTD Co., Syracuse retiring in 1985. He is survived by his sons, Arthur D. Baldwin, Jr. and his wife Patricia, Huntersville, NC, Robert A. Baldwin and his wife Debora, Mount Holly, NC and William B. Baldwin Charlotte, NC, his daughters, Judith I. Damon, Davidson, NC and Patricia A. Lester Kannapolis, NC, nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren, a sister in law and brother in law Josephine and Nicholas Pagano, Syracue and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John Baldwin and step grandson, William Revels. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 1:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, Rector of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Higgins Bay Cemetery, Higgins Bay, NY later in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 12-1 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow.
