Obituary of Karl H Wurzbacher
LITTLE FALLS – Karl H. Wurzbacher, 100 of Summit Ave., Little Falls passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Little Falls Hospital where he had been a patient since May 26.
He was born on March 21, 1917 in Little Falls the son of the late Karl H. and Theresa (Stallman) Wurzbacher, Sr. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School.
Mr. Wurzbacher was a veteran of World War II, entering the service on May 2, 1941 serving with the US Army in the North African, Italian and French theatres with the 21st General Hospital Co. as a medic. He was honorably discharged as a Technician (Fourth Grade) on October 19, 1945 in Ft. Dix, NJ.
On January 6, 1951 he married Mildred (Betty) Gerhardt at the Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls. They have been married for 66 years.
Mr. Wurzbacher was the owner and operator of the former M & W Manufacturing Co., Little Falls.
He is survived by his wife Mildred, His daughter, Joan Krutz (David), Little Falls, his sons, John K. Wurzbacher (Linda), Webster, NY and Alan K. Wurzbacher, Ormond Beach, FL, grandchildren, Jeffrey K. Krutz (Emily), Daniel E. Krutz (Jayme), John R. Wurzbacher (Jennifer), and Andrew M. Krutz (Stefni); five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Inez Topper in 1988.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Salisbury Rural Cemetery, Town of Salisbury.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours.
The family would like to extend its since appreciation to Little Falls Hospital, and especially Dr.’s Freund and Handy, and the Third Floor staff, for the excellent care and compassion shown to Mr. Wurzbacher and his family.
