Obituary of Hilda S Cleveland

LITTLE FALLS – Hilda S. Cleveland, 91 of State Route 167, Little Falls passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Folts Home, Herkimer where she had been a resident since 2012. She was born on April 9, 1926 in Starkville, NY the daughter of the late Christian and Marie (Hessler) Schumacher. She was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School. On December 25, 1947 she was united in marriage to her husband of 52 years Hillyer B. Cleveland at the Christ Lutheran Church Parsonage, Little Falls. Mr. Cleveland predeceased her on November 30, 1999. Mrs. Cleveland was employed at onetime by the NY Telephone Co and H.P. Snyder Mfg. Co., both of Little Falls. She was last employed as a Supervisor for the Former Daniel Green Co., Dolgeville. She is survived by her son, James M. Cleveland and his wife Helen, Little Falls, her daughters, Cindy Walsh and her husband Robert, Frankfort and Pamela Mosher (Steve Anisworth), Little Falls, her grandchildren, Jessie Cleveland, Douglas Cleveland, Cale Cleveland and Donald Jasewicz, her great grandson, Jack Theodore Jasewicz and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, John, Walter, George and Harold Schumacher and by her sister Marie Schumacher. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Cleveland be considered to the Little Falls Public Library, 10 Waverly Place, Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
