Obituary of Norma G. Jennings

PALATINE BRIDGE – Norma G. Jennings, 74 of Lafayette Street, Palatine Bridge, NY passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Palatine Nursing Home where she had been a resident since 2014. She was born on May 19, 1943 in Little Falls, NY the daughter of the late Harold H. and Grace (Mosher) Smith. She was educated in Daytona Beach, FL schools. On August 15, 1966 she was united in marriage to her husband of 51 years Ray L. Jennings in South Carolina. Mrs. Jennings was employed as a Nurse’s Aide in various nursing homes in the area and as a Private Duty Nurse. She was also a foster parent form many children over the years. She was last employed as the owner and operator of Norma Ray’s Flowers, Ft. Plain, NY retiring in 2004. She is survived by her husband Ray, Palatine Bridge, her sons, Ray L. Jennings, Jr. (Carol), Statesboro, GA, Donald L. Jennings (Sue), Iowa, Vincent L. Jennings (Kelly), Farminghamville, Iowa, her daughter, Brenda Reimers, Paragould, AK, her brother Harold H. Smith (Doris), San Antonio, TX, Bernard Smith (Angela), Syracuse, NY, Clark Smith (Sandy) Nelliston, NY and Patrick Smith (Tammy), Corning, NY, her sisters, Marion Briggs, Vero Beach FL, Twila Coons, Beaver Dams, NY and Lisa Riff, Corning, NY, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Smith in 2000, her sister Janet Kretser in 1989 and by her son in law Douglas Reimers. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11:00 am from the Fort Plain Reformed Church, 165 Canal St, Ft. Plain, NY with the Rev. Nancy Ryan officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Fort Plain Reformed Church on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 10-11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY.
