Obituary of Roba J. Johnson
SALISBURY – Roba J. Johnson, 93 of Military Road, Little Falls (Town of Salisbury) passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Medical Center, New Hartford, NY with her loving family at her side.
She was born on May 5, 1925 in Sharon Springs, NY the daughter of the late Sanford and Jennie (Scism) Walts and attended West Canada School.
She was united marriage to Oscar Stallman who predeceased her on June 8, 1973. On December 31, 1977 she was united in marriage to Russell Johnson. Mr. Johnson predeceased her on October 12, 1989.
She was employed at one time by the former Allegro Shoe Co., and the former H.P. Snyder Mfg., both of Little Falls. She was last employed as a machine operator for the former Daniel Green Co., Dolgeville retiring in 1987.
Roba resided with her daughter and son in law Linda and Fred Carpenter for the last several years and enjoyed taking trips to the casino, playing cards gathering with friends and taking camping trips with Linda and Fred to campsites in the Adirondacks.
She is survived by her son, Donald Stallman, Little Falls and her daughter Linda Carpenter, Salisbury, and her sister Laura Kissiar of Florida, her grandchildren David Randall and his wife Rachael, Jason Randall, Crystal Gorinshek and her husband Joey, Laura Ostasz and her husband Walter, Cindy Stallman, Lisa Douglass and her husband Scott, Donald Stallman and his wife Sheri, Angela Gerharz and her husband Scott, Paul Stallman and wife Wendy , Robert Stallman Jr and his wife Kristin and her several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Robert Stallman Sr. October 21 1989, her sons in law, Donald Randall Jr on December 25, 2000 and Frederick Carpenter on September 12, 2018, her grandson, Michael J. Stallman July 15, 1992, and by her sisters, Beatrice Stalteri, Rhea Raasch and Grace Kretser.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 4-6 pm a prayer service will follow at 6 pm. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring of 2019.
