Obituary of Josephine M. Beacraft

LITTLE FALLS – Josephine M. Beacraft, 85 of Southern Ave., Little Falls, NY passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Little Falls Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was born on July 23, 1933 in the Town of Charleston, NY the daughter of the late Lena M. Gordon. She was educated in Browns Hollow Rural School. On August 4, 1951 she was united in marriage to her husband of 37 years Daniel C. Beacraft, Jr. in Central Bridge, NY. Mr. Beacraft predeceased her on April 29, 1989. An avid animal lover she was involved in several animal rights groups of the years. Mrs. Beacraft was employed for many years by the former Little Falls Felt Shoe Co, and was last employed by the former LaSalle Labs, Co., Little Falls until her retirement. She was also the part time secretary for the former Nash Coal & Oil. Co., Little Falls. She is survived by her sons, Daniel C. Beacraft, III and his wife Rebecca, Little Falls, Ricky G. Beacraft, Little Falls and Mark A. Beacraft and his wife Lisa, Little Falls, her daughter Cindy Phillips and her husband Rodney, Scottsburg, IN, her sisters June Jones, Little Falls, Mary Ellen Johnson, Brookfield, NY and Harriett Euler and her husband Henry, Sharon Springs, NY, her grandchildren Daniel, James and Jarred Beacraft, Sergio, Brittany and Rebecca Loring, Ricky Beacraft Jr., Forest Beacraft, Erin Klimacek, Marlena Beacraft, Shawn and Brian Phillips, Marissa Beacraft and Mark Beacraft, Jr., many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter Rebecca Beacraft on February 21, 1993 and her daughter in law, Cynthia Beacraft on July 25, 2006. Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 ay 1:00 pm at the Sloansville Valley Cemetery, Sloansville, NY. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours.
