I'm so so sorry, Jim Bucenec. :'( The last time I spoke to you on 8/15 was only 5 days before you passed. You let me know that you weren't doing well at all and didn't have much time left. I feel horrible. I wish I had known how little time you actually had. I would have made it a point to talk to you one last time. I'm so sorry. :(
We had our differences as neighbors, but we always ended up letting bygones be bygones and remained friends over the 10+ years as neighbors. I was always your "go to" girl for your cell phone issues, occasional trips to the store or for fast food and laundry help, (it was hard for you to get up and down your basement stairs after you fell) and I was always happy to help you in any way that I could. I truly liked helping you, Jim. <3 I'll always remember playing cards with you and Matt Decker at your house. We had fun, and I'm sure it broke up the monotony for ya. :) I'm so glad you stayed in touch with me after I moved to Mississippi. We chatted regularly. I only just learned of your passing a few minutes ago and it's been an entire month and a half since you've been gone. I'm so sorry I didn't know and that I didn't reach out to you again. :(
I pray that you are at peace and I'm so glad you are no longer suffering, my friend. I'll miss our chats and helping you whenever you needed me. I'm so glad we ended up as friends in the end despite our past differences. Love ya, Jim. Rest in peace, my friend. You will be missed. - Lolly Winne

My husband and I went to school with Jim and were good friends for many years. He recently had joined facebook so we were able to catch up with him. We extend our sincere sympathy to the entire Bucenec family. We enjoyed our years of friendship with him. May he rest in peace. Sincerely, Lynne and Bruce Cigale

I have a wonderful memory and experience with Jim, it was fall and I followed him out to the yard he asked me if I have ever planted garlic, I said no. He said it's easy you have to do it before the frost, then he took his walking stick pushed it down into the soil then dropped the clove in and covered it up. We repeated that process many more times. Then in late spring early summer he would say don't forget to cut the curly Q's and when the leaves on the bottom turn brown pull them. I have grown garlic 2 years straight and he was right on. Thank you Jim I cherish that memory and will pass that skill on to someone else.

Rich, Lori, Jeff and all of Jimmy's family, please know that I am thinking of you all in this difficult time. We did a lot of camping, fishing, pool time and a host of other amusements together. I will miss your Dad. Wishing the whole family peace. Godspeed my friend.
