Dear Frances, Mr and Mrs Delaney, and family. Today is Sean's birthday. I couldn't use any word to express my feeling and emotion for loss of Sean. The USP Excipient team had great pleasure to work with Sean during past more than two years and respected him. His kindness and willingness to help others were highly praised and always be remembered. Besides work, we shared our interests and experiences in work-life balance, family events/activities, parenting, and our loves to science. I remember his story about Desmond loving national zoo after Sean brought the family to participate in the USP Family event there. When my family moved to Rockville many years ago, at that time my son was at a similar age as Des and he always wanted to visit national zoo, too. Sean was an excellent scientist, a warm and faithful friend and respectful colleague and will be truly missed by those who knew him. My thoughts and prayers and sincere sympathy to all of Sean's family, friends and colleagues.
Tomorrow afternoon, we'll have a memorial service for Sean at USP.
Ms. Hong Wang, Sr. Manager, Science-Excipients, U.S. Pharmacopeia

Sean was a great colleague and friend. He and I shared a laboratory during his time in Kentucky when I was a graduate student. I definitely enjoyed working with him and he was a big help to everyone around him. Throughout those years, he and I also had many opportunities to attend conferences in which we shared memorable experiences.
Today would have been his 32 birthday. I surely missed him. My condolences to Frances, Des, Rosalie, and the rest of the family.
Sincerely,
Nico

Dear Frances, Mr and Mrs Delaney, and family. There are no words to describe Sean's loss. I remember the day that Sean came to interview at the United States Pharmacopeia for the Excipients Scientific Liaison position within the Excipients Team. It seems like only yesterday. Over the past 3 years, we got to know Sean and his family as he grew into his role as Scientific Liaison. Sean was a truly talented scientist and a great friend and colleague and will be truly missed by those who knew him. My thoughts and prayers and sincere sympathy to all of Sean's family, friends and colleagues.
Catherine Sheehan, Sr. Director-Excipients, United States Pharmacopeia.

It was a great pleasure to know Sean and work with him when he was at the University of Kentucky. I very much enjoyed talking with him and also discussing upstate New York as well as we were from just down the road in Rome. It was always great to catch up at meetings like CPD or AAPS. I’m sorry to hear of his passing, and wish you all the strength and courage during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Matthew and Kimberlee Nethercott

I remember Sean when he was just a little guy in my nursery school class. Sean was kind, gentle and had the most beautiful little smile. He was a precious pre-schooler who grew into a lovely young man. I knew he would. Prayers to Sean’s family.
