Obituary of William Rudolph Sadlon

Mr. William Rudolph Sadlon, 88, formerly of Court Street, Little Falls, NY, passed away April 3, 2021 at the Alpine Rehab and Nursing Center. He was born on June 4, 1932 in Little Falls, NY, the son of Martin and Anna Lajda Sadlon. Bill graduated from Little Falls High School, Class of 1951. He was honorably discharged from the US Air Force. He had an over 40 year career at the Burrows Paper Corp as a machine tender. He was also past secretary for the United Paper Workers Local #1458. He was also a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, a lifetime blood donor giving 208 units of blood over 40 years, enough to save 600 lives, he was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills, the St. Louis Cardinals, and Notre Dame. He will also be remembered for his wonderful singing voice. On May 8th 1954 he married Mary Crimmins, at St. Mary's Church, Little Falls. She pre-deceased him on August 21, 1998. Survivors include his sons, Alan W. and Robin Sadlon, Brian A. and Kim Sadlon; daughters, Sharon S. and Ronald Herringshaw, Debra S. and Douglas Dixon, and Rebecca Sadlon and Gina Porcelli; brother, Paul M. Sadlon; grandchildren, Sonya and Melissa Herringshaw, Heather and Sam Campione, Lindsey Sadlon, Alan and Alexia Sadlon, Katrina and Jeremy Lyon, and William Dixon; great grandchildren, Jaxsen, Levi, Samuel, Alexander, Nicholas, Ayvan, Alora, Avary, Matthew, Blake, and Zackary; dear friends, Betty McCaw and Cindy McCaw; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. The family invites relatives and friends to attend calling hours on Thursday April 8th, 2021 from 10:00am-12:00Noon at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 512 E. Gansevoort Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. A funeral service will be held following calling hours at Noon. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
